Step by step
Do an audit
Audit a branch against your business's audit checklist, see its score against the pass mark, and read the scorecard Kila keeps for each branch.
An audit is a manager’s visit with a checklist that is scored, such as a food hygiene inspection before the county’s own. Kila keeps the score, raises an issue for anything not right, and adds it to the branch‘s scorecard.
Open Audits
Go to Customers and services › Site operations and open the Audits tab. Scheduled audits and inspections shows the “Due dates, who does them, and a repeat if they recur.” Below it are the Recent audits and their scores.
Choose the audit in Audit now
In Audit now…, choose the audit, such as Food hygiene inspection. It opens for your branch: here the Eldoret factory. To plan one for another day or another branch, tap Schedule instead.
Answer each item
Walk round and answer each item Yes or No, or N/A where it does not apply. Each item has its weight in the score, such as · weight 3. Add a Photo of anything worth keeping.
Tap Complete
Kila says Done and gives the score, such as Score 100%. The audit shows the score against its pass mark, such as Score 100% (pass mark 80%), and any follow-up issues: No follow-up issues.
Something is not right

What Kila reports
Link to this section: What Kila reportsThe Scorecard tab is the Site scorecard: one line for each branch over the last 30 days. “The score weighs checklists 40, audits 40 and issues 20; a part with nothing to measure is left out. By site, never by person.” It shows the Checklists done, the Audit average, the Issues open, how many were Resolved on time, the Days to resolve and the Items not right. History lists every checklist, log and audit of the last two weeks.
Needs a manager
The owner and the general manager audit every branch, and anyone whose role allows audits. Audits are set up under Checklists, with their items, weights and pass mark.
- Fill in a checklist: the branch‘s own daily checks and logs.
- Record a renewal: inspections by the county or KEBS go on the compliance calendar.
- Branch operations: the feature and the plans that include it.
