M-Pesa code … has already been used
Kila already has that M-Pesa code on another payment, so it will not count it twice. Check the customer's message for this payment, enter the right code or take another method.
What it means
Link to this section: What it meansEvery M-Pesa payment has its own code, and one code pays for one thing. Kila already has this code on an earlier payment, the PAY-… it names, so it does not count the same money twice. Often the customer showed an older message, or the code was typed on two sales.
What to do
Link to this section: What to do- Ask the customer for the M-Pesa message of this payment and check the code, the amount and the time.
- Tap the x on the M-Pesa line to take it off.
- Enter the code from the right message, or take the payment another way, such as cash.
- Tap Complete sale.
Needs a manager
If the customer says this is the only message they have, a supervisor or the accountant checks the M-Pesa statement before the goods go. See Reconcile M-Pesa and bank statements.
- Take M-Pesa: the code from the message, step by step.
- Check an M-Pesa payment that is not confirmed yet: when M-Pesa has not answered.
