Fixing a problem
You have SH-… open on Till …. Close it before opening another.
You already have a shift open on another till, often from another computer or phone. Kila keeps one open shift per person: sell on that till, or close that shift first, then open one here.
What it means
Link to this section: What it meansYou can have one shift open at a time, so the cash in each drawer is counted against one person. You opened a shift on another till, perhaps on another computer or phone, and it is still open. Kila does not open a second one, and the till you chose stays free.
What to do
Link to this section: What to do- Read the message: it names your open shift and its till.
- To keep selling on that shift, go back to that till. Your shift’s number is at the top of it.
- To move to another till, close that shift first: tap its number, then Close shift, and count the drawer. If the next cashier takes over that till, tap Hand over instead.
- Then open your shift on the till you want.
If it keeps happening
Link to this section: If it keeps happeningClose your shift, or hand it over, before you leave a till. A shift left open on one till stops you opening one anywhere else.
- Close a shift: the count, step by step.
- Hand over a shift: when the next cashier takes over your till.
- Open a shift: choosing a till and counting the float.
- Shift not opened: when the till you chose has someone else’s shift.
