Step by step
Issue materials to a production order
Hand a planned order's materials to production. Kila takes them out of stock by batch, the batch that expires first going first, and the order is in production.
When a planned order is ready to run, the store issues its materials: they leave stock at the site and go to the order, batch by batch, so every finished batch can be traced back to the milk, flour or parts it was made from.
Before you start
Link to this section: Before you start- The order is planned, with its materials reserved: see Plan a production order.
Open the planned order
On Production orders, tap the order under Planned. It shows Planned, materials reserved, and under Materials what the recipe needs and what is reserved for it.
Tap Issue materials
Kila issues everything the order needs and says so, such as PRD-000099 is in production. Materials issued.
Check the batches
The order is now In production. Under Materials, which says Issued to production., each material shows how much was issued and the batches it came from, such as batch UGD-261029 (75.80), KDF-261029 (180.20). Kila takes the batch that expires first, then the next.
Issue materials is the only button you have
Link to this section: Issue materials is the only button you haveThat is the store’s part. Planning an order, closing it with what was made, and cancelling it belong to the production supervisor or the plant manager, who see Plan an order, Record output and close and Cancel order.
The order needs to stop after the materials are issued
Link to this section: The order needs to stop after the materials are issuedAn order in production cannot be cancelled: its materials have left stock. The supervisor records what was made and closes it, with nothing made if it all went to waste. Kila then writes the materials off as a loss. See Record output and close a production order.
Good to know
The batches issued stay with the order. Trace and recall follows them “from a lot to what was made from it and who bought it, and back to the materials and suppliers.”
- Plan a production order: the step before, with the materials reserved.
- Receive a delivery at intake: how raw milk gets its batch number.
- Storekeeper (materials): the store’s day at a production site.
Next: when the run is finished, the supervisor records the output: Record output and close a production order.
