Insights answers the questions an owner keeps asking. Am I making money this month? Where is money leaking? What should I do this week? It reads the records Kila already keeps and turns them into a short list of findings, each with a shilling figure, how it was worked out, and a next step.

Link to this section: Where to find itInsights, at the top of the menu: “What the business made, where the money went and what needs your attention, with how each figure was worked out.” Its tabs are Overview, Profit, Money, Stock and costs, Watch, Plan and Settings. The overview starts with the morning brief, yesterday against a normal day, and ends with Needs attention, ranked by the money at stake.
Switch it on

For General businesses
A General business switches it on in one step: on Business profile, under What your business does, switch on Insights and statements, which also switches on Statements. See Add what your business does.
On the Starter, Business, Growth and Enterprise plans. Enterprise is arranged with Kila’s sales team.

The morning brief comes by email only: under Settings, Kila says “By email for now; SMS and WhatsApp follow.”
