Electronics & appliance repair

A repair shop takes phones, laptops and appliances in by their serial or IMEI, checks each one in with the customer, and tests it before it is handed back.

A repair shop fixes phones, laptops, TVs and appliances that customers bring to the counter. Kila runs it as a workshop where each device is a job, from the check-in to the bench test.

  • Devices come first. In Take a job in, a repair shop sees Device or appliance first: Brand, Model, Serial or IMEI number, what was Left with it (charger, case …), the Fault reported and whether the Passcode or pattern given. A device seen before is found under Find the device or appliance in the register, with its warranty. See Take a job in.
  • Checked in with the customer: the Device check-in marks scratches and cracks on a drawing of the device, and the customer signs it.
  • Tested before it is ready: the Bench test before ready is done by someone other than the technician. See Tell the customer a job is ready.
  • Devices in the menu: “Every phone, laptop, appliance or machine the workshop has repaired, by serial or IMEI number, with its owner and its repairs.”

The menu section is Repairs: Front counter, Job board, My jobs, Quality checks, Parts desk, Devices, Uncollected items, Follow-up calls, Technician efficiency, Labour rates and operations, Workshop settings.

The main screen is Job board.
