How it works
The till screen
Where everything is on the till. Products on the left, the cart on the right, your shift and your menu at the top.
Steps differ for workshops and repair businesses and couriers, transport and hire businesses.
The till is one screen. You find products on the left, build the sale in the cart on the right and take the payment from the cart. Your shift and your menu are at the top. A cashier lands here straight after signing in.
- Sale, Quotation, Order, Return: what the till is doing now. It starts on Sale. You see only the ones your role and your business use.
- Your shift number, such as SH-000108, and the time it opened. Tap it for the shift panel: the cash expected in the drawer, Move cash and Close shift.
- Your name opens the till’s menu (below).
- Search: “Scan a barcode or search by name or SKU”. See Find a product.
- Categories: Quick picks (the products your business chose for the till), All, then each category.
- A product: its name, code, price and how many are in stock at your branch. Tap it to put one in the cart.
- Add a customer (optional): a walk-in cash sale does not need one. See Add a customer to a sale.
- A line in the cart: tap its name to change the quantity or give a discount. + and − change the quantity and the bin takes the line off.
- Charge, with the total to pay. Under it, Suspend parks the sale and Clear empties the cart.
On a wide screen the top bar also has Suspended and Orders, and the branch‘s hours today, such as Open until 21:30.
On a phone
Link to this section: On a phoneThe modes sit in a row under the top bar and the cart is under the products. A bar at the bottom shows what is in the cart, such as View cart · 2 items · KES 130.00 (10). Tap it to go down to the cart.
The menu under your name
Link to this section: The menu under your nameIt names the business and the branch you sell at, then what you can do from the till. What you see depends on your role and on what your business has switched on:
- Shift and cash: the same shift panel as your shift number.
- Suspended sales and Orders to collect: sales parked at this branch, and orders waiting to be collected.
- Suggest prices and Clock in or out take you to those pages.
- Training mode: practise without recording anything. See Practise in training mode.
- Dark theme or Light theme, and Sign out.
Keys that save time
Link to this section: Keys that save timeWith a keyboard or a barcode scanner on the till:
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| F2 | Puts you in the search box. |
| F4 | Opens the customer search, as Add a customer (optional) does. |
| F9 | Charge: opens the payment. |
| Typing or scanning | Goes into the search box from anywhere on the till, so a scanner works without a tap first. |
Good to know
The cart is kept on the device for the person signed in. If the page reloads, the cart is still there.
For your business

At a workshop the modes start with Job, and the left side has Job board (Collect and Board) and Sell products. See Hand a job over and take payment.
For couriers, transport and hire businesses
A logistics business does not sell from the till: Point of sale is not in its menu. Bookings are taken in Sell › Bookings and dispatch. See Book a parcel.
Steps differ for workshops and repair businesses and couriers, transport and hire businesses. Nothing here differs for your business, .
- Find a product: search, scan or tap.
