Repeat a customer's last order

Most shops order much the same each time. Repeat their last order in one tap, change what differs and take it.

When a shop phones for “the same as last time”, start from its last order instead of typing every line. Kila puts in the same products and packs at today’s prices, and you change only what differs.

  1. Find the customer

On the order desk, find the customer as for any order. The panel beside the order lists their Last orders, and the latest ones are buttons above the line box, such as SO-000028 · KES 8,995 (F5).

A new order for Acacia Estate Minimart. The panel lists its last orders, SO-000028 and SO-000008 (1), and the button SO-000028 · KES 8,995 (F5) above the line box is marked 2.A new order for Acacia Estate Minimart. The panel lists its last orders, SO-000028 and SO-000008 (1), and the button SO-000028 · KES 8,995 (F5) above the line box is marked 2.
  2. Tap the last order

Tap its button, or press F5 for the latest. Kila says SO-000028 repeated: “Check the quantities, then take the order.”

  3. Check the quantities

Change any quantity the customer asked for differently. A line in amber says short: there is less free in the depot than the line asks for, such as “12 bottle · 3 free, short”. Lower it to what is free, or remove the line.

The repeated order: two cartons of glucose biscuits, two cartons of potato crisps and 12 bottles of drinking water marked 3 free, short. The water's quantity is marked 3.The repeated order: two cartons of glucose biscuits, two cartons of potato crisps and 12 bottles of drinking water marked 3 free, short. The water's quantity is marked 3.
  4. Tap Take order (F9)

Check the delivery and the customer’s order number as for any order, then take it. Kila says SO-… taken, with the amount, the route and the day.

Suggested (F4) puts in the order Kila suggests from the customer’s recent orders, and says how many it went by: “Suggested order put in. From the last 2 orders. Check the quantities.” The button is grey when the customer has nothing to go by yet.

Paste an order (F8) reads a WhatsApp message or an LPO: “Paste a WhatsApp message or an LPO: one product per line, with its quantity (10 ctn Omo 1kg, Sugar 2kg x 5, 2/6 cooking oil).” Tap Read it. Kila shows each line as written beside what it read, and lists what it could not read under Not read, as written. Where it has a guess, it offers products under the line: tap the right one and Kila says it is “Also adding” it. Tap Add 3 lines (the number it will add), and check them before you take the order.

Paste an order: cooking fat and sugar are read; 2 ctn cooking oil and 3 cases of Fanta are under Not read (2) (1). Cooking oil 1L bottle is chosen for the oil (2), so Kila is also adding it, and Add 3 lines is marked 3.Paste an order: cooking fat and sugar are read; 2 ctn cooking oil and 3 cases of Fanta are under Not read (2) (1). The order is not taken because stock is short

Kila shows:

The order was not taken

Only 3 of Drinking water 18.9L refill free to reserve at this branch. Lower the quantity, or transfer stock here first.

Kila sets the stock aside for each order as you take it, so it cannot take more than the depot has free. Lower the line to what is free and take the order, or ask the warehouse to move stock to the depot first.

Add it yourself after Add: type its code and quantity in the line box. “3 cases of Fanta” at Mombasa Road is a brand the business does not stock under that name.

Next: the order waits under To pick until it is sent to the warehouse: Pick and pack an order.
