An order keeps goods for a customer who collects them later. Kila holds the prices, reserves the stock at your branch so it is not sold to someone else, and keeps any deposit on the customer‘s account until they collect.

  1. Tap Order at the top of the till

Kila says “Order mode. The order reserves the stock at this branch and holds the prices; take a deposit now and the balance when the customer collects.”

Tip

A quotation the customer accepts can become an order: on Sales › Quotations, tap Order beside it. See Make a quotation.

Without a customer, Save as order says “No customer chosen. Add one to take a deposit, deliver, or call them when the order is ready.” and the Deposit “Needs a customer.” Go Back to cart, choose the customer, and save the order again.

Sales › Orders (“Sales orders”) lists them all, by stage: Not started, Picking, Ready, Out for delivery, Fulfilled and Cancelled.

Next: when the order is ready, the customer collects it and pays the balance.
