A visit moves through the day in stages: Booked, Arrived, In service and Done. The front desk moves it along, and the stylist can too from their own day. Once it is done, the visit goes to the till and is charged like any sale, with the products the client buys on the way out.

  1. Open the visit

Tap the client’s booking on the diary, or their name under Arrivals. The visit opens with the service, who does it, the time and the booking’s number, such as Men’s haircut with Kelvin Otieno · 08:00 to 08:25 · APT-000672, and any flags, such as Prefers a quiet session.

  2. Tap Arrived when the client comes in

Kila says APT-000672 checked in. and the visit shows as Arrived.

The visit for Brian Mwangi: Men's haircut with Kelvin Otieno, 08:00 to 08:25, APT-000672, Booked, KES 500.00, with the flag Prefers a quiet session. 3. Tap Start when the service begins

Kila says APT-000672 started. and the visit is In service. The stylist can tap Start and Finish on their own My day instead.

  4. Tap Finish when it is done

Kila says APT-000672 completed. The visit now shows Charge this visit.

“The visit opens in the cart: add any products sold, then charge everything together.” The cart has the client, and the service with the stylist’s name under it.

The visit is Done. Under Charge this visit, Charge at this till is marked 5, with Rebook before they leave and Client card: history and notes below. The visit is Done. The cart for Brian Mwangi: Men's haircut KES 500.00 with Kelvin Otieno and Beard oil 30ml KES 950.00, total KES 1,450.00. Tip

A deposit the client paid when they booked is used first when the visit is charged, so the till asks only for the rest. See Take a booking deposit.

A service can cost more with a senior stylist and less with a junior one: Dennis Kiprop, a senior barber, charges KES 700 for a men’s haircut where the menu says KES 500. At the front desk till such a visit may not charge in the cart. Take the payment from the booking instead: on the finished visit tap More, then Take payment. Kila shows Payment for Men’s haircut with Men’s haircut with Dennis Kiprop and the price. Choose how the client pays and tap Complete sale. Kila says APT-000679 paid.

Payment for Men's haircut: Men's haircut with Dennis Kiprop at KES 700.00 (1), an optional tip, cash chosen, and Complete sale marked 2.Payment for Men's haircut: Men's haircut with Dennis Kiprop at KES 700.00 (1), an optional tip, cash chosen, and Complete sale marked 2.

When the client holds a package for that service, Charge this visit also offers it, such as Use Barber card: 4 haircuts (3 left): the visit uses a session and nothing is paid. See Sell and use a package.

Next: before the client leaves, tap Rebook before they leave on the visit.
