How it works

Your parent portal

Sign in to see each of your children's fees, fee statement, attendance and report cards, and the school's notices, and to pay fees by M-Pesa.

Schools and daycares that use Kila can open a parent portal for you: one sign-in for all your children there. You see what each child owes and has paid, their attendance and report cards, and the school’s notices, and you can pay fees by M-Pesa from your phone.

  1. Open the school's email

The school sends you an email, Your parent portal at the school’s name: ”… has opened a parent portal for you: fee balances and statements, report cards and attendance for your children. Choose a password to sign in.” Tap Choose a password.

  2. Choose your password

The page says Choose your password, with your name and the email you sign in with. Type a password of “At least 10 characters. A short sentence is easy to remember and hard to guess.” in New password and again in Type it again, then tap Save password.

  3. Sign in

Kila says Your password is set. Tap Sign in, then type your email and the password you chose.

“This link works once,” until the date the page shows. After that, ask the school to send you the email again: it has a new link. Do the same if you forget your password.

Next time, open the school’s address, such as bright-minds-academy.kilabiashara.co.ke: Sign in to Bright Minds Academy. Type your email and password and tap Sign in.

Good to know

You see only your own children. If a child of yours is missing, or a balance looks wrong, ask the school.
