Step by step
Freeze a membership
When a member travels or is injured, freeze their membership for a number of days. They cannot check in while it is frozen, and their next bill moves out by the same days.
A freeze pauses a membership instead of cancelling it: the member keeps their plan and their price, the days they are away are added to the end of their period, and the desk turns them away until the freeze ends.
Open the member's page
Open Gym › Members, search for their name or number in Search members, and tap them.
On their membership, tap Freeze
“No entry while frozen; the next bill moves out by the days frozen, within the yearly limit.”
Type the days and the reason
Days starts at 14. Type the Reason, such as travelling or an injury: it is kept with the membership.
Steps 3 and 4 on one screen. Tap Freeze
Kila says when the next bill is now, such as “SUB-00165 frozen for 14 days. The next bill moves to 14/12/2026.”
Check the membership says Frozen
It shows Frozen and the day the freeze ends, and the page says Cannot come in now. At the front desk Kila turns the member away with the same date, such as “Monthly membership is frozen until 13 Nov 2026.”
The member is back early

Needs a manager
Ending a freeze early needs someone who manages services, such as the gym manager or the owner. The front desk can freeze a membership but not end the freeze: Kila says “Your role does not allow this. Ask an administrator for access.”
The freeze is too short, or too long

The membership is not active

Good to know
The gym manager sets the shortest freeze, the days a year and a freeze fee under Gym › Memberships and renewals, on Settings. A plan can have its own number of freeze days a year, on Plans.
- Cancel a membership: when the member is leaving.
- Check a member in: what the desk sees for a frozen membership.
- Gym manager: freezes, cancellations and the rest of the gym’s rules.
Next: nothing to do when the freeze ends: the membership is active again on that day and the member checks in as before.
