Fixing a problem

A sale is part paid

Money was taken toward a sale that is not finished, so the shift cannot close or be handed over yet. Finish the sale, or give the money back or keep it as the customer's credit, then close the shift.

KES 1,000.00 is paid toward a sale that is not finished. Finish it, keep it as the customer’s credit or give it back first.

You took part of a split payment and the rest is still to pay. That money is in your drawer but belongs to no finished sale yet, so a count now would not add up. Until it is settled, Close shift and Hand over wait.
