Decide a price suggestion
Branch staff suggest prices for products below the minimum margin. Approve one as it is or at your own price, or turn it down with your reason.
“Cashiers and branch managers suggest prices for products below the minimum at their branch, with why. Approving sets the price at once, as a record you can print or undo under Changes made.” Only an owner decides them.
Open Products › Margins › Suggestions
The tab shows how many are waiting. Waiting lists them, each with who suggested it and where, their reason in quotation marks and where they saw the price, and three figures: what it Sells at, the price Suggested with its margin, and the price that Meets the minimum.
Steps 1 to 4 on one screen. Read the reason
It tells you what the branch sees: here, “Customers at Yaya Centre put it back above KES 1,960. Naivas next door sells it at KES 1,949.”
Choose the price to approve
Approve at starts at the suggested price. Type your own if you prefer: Kila says Your price, not the one suggested and shows the margin it makes.
Tap Approve at KES …
The button shows the price, such as Approve at KES 1,970. Kila says Kingsgate Blended Whisky 750ml now sells at KES 1,970, gives the record’s number, and “Lilian Moraa has been told.”
Check the decisions
Tap Decided to see every suggestion you have decided: Approved at KES 1,970 or Not approved, with who decided and why.
The approved price is a price change like any other: print its shelf labels, or undo it, under Changes made. See Print shelf labels and Fix prices below the minimum.
You do not want to approve it
Link to this section: You do not want to approve itTap Reject. Kila asks, for example, Do not approve Highland Reserve 12 Year Whisky 750ml at KES 4,900?: “Lilian Moraa is told, with your reason.” Type the reason in Why not? and tap Do not approve. Kila says Suggestion not approved: “Lilian Moraa has been told why.” The price stays as it was.
The price is below the minimum
Link to this section: The price is below the minimumKila shows the margin in orange, such as Margin 12.4%, below the minimum. You can still approve it.
Good to know
The person who suggested it sees your decision under My suggestions, such as Approved at KES 1,970, or Not approved with your reason. See Suggest a price.
