Dispatch a booking
Give a booking a vehicle and a driver, then send it on its way. Kila marks the vehicle out and tells the driver.
Steps differ for vehicle and equipment hire businesses.
Every parcel, trip and delivery waits on the dispatch board until it has a vehicle and a driver and leaves. The board has four columns: To dispatch, On the way, Delivered and Not delivered.
Open the dispatch board
Sell › Bookings and dispatch opens on Dispatch. The top counts what is To dispatch and how many of those are still without a vehicle or driver, what is On the way, Delivered today and Not delivered.
Tap the booking
Tap the booking’s card. A card under To dispatch that says No driver still needs one.
Choose the vehicle
Under Vehicle and driver, choose the Vehicle. Kila fills in its usual Driver: choose someone else if another driver takes it. Vehicles in maintenance are not in the list.
Tap Assign
Kila says who has it, and tells the driver:
Tap Dispatch
The booking moves to On the way, and a parcel’s stage becomes Out for delivery. The vehicle shows as out until nothing it carries is on the way.

A driver can also start a booking given to them from their phone, with Start: on the way. See Deliver on your phone.

Hires are handed over, not dispatched. A hire waits as Booked until the customer collects it: see Hand over a hire. Airport transfers and other trips with a driver are dispatched like this: see Send a chauffeur on a transfer.

Dispatch stays grey

The driver could not deliver
Link to this section: The driver could not deliverThe booking moves to Not delivered, with the driver’s reason, such as Nobody at the address. Call the customer, then tap Try again: the booking goes back under To dispatch with the same vehicle and driver, ready to dispatch again.
Needs a manager
Dispatching needs the right to manage deliveries: dispatchers, branch managers, the general manager and the owner have it. A booking clerk books and bills, but does not dispatch.
