Carer
Your day as a carer, on your phone. You see your own home visits for the day, call the patient when you need to, and start each visit at the home.
Kila describes the role: “Their own home visits on their phone: start and finish at the home, the tasks, vital signs and a care note for the patients they visit. No other patient’s record.”
When you sign in

A visit still to do has Start (1). Call (2) phones the patient.

- Call the patient if you need to, before you go. Their next of kin and their number are on the visit too.
- Tap Start when you arrive at the home. Then the visit, as Kila describes it: “the tasks, vital signs and a care note”, and you finish it at the home.

Common questions

Can I see another patient’s record? No. A carer sees only their own home visits.
Does Kila follow where I am? Only when the owner keeps the carers’ phone position, and then only when you start and finish a visit. At Afya Bora Medical Centre it is not kept: Home care.
