Booking clerk
You run the counter. Book parcels and trips, quote by weight, take the payment, print the waybill and labels, and answer "where is my parcel?".
A booking clerk books parcels at the counter, quotes, takes the payment and prints the waybill and labels, with no dispatch or cancelling. At Swift Haul Logistics, Amina Hassan runs the Mombasa counter and Lucy Njeri the Nairobi one.
When you sign in

Your day
Link to this section: Your day- Book what comes to the counter. A parcel: Book a parcel. A load or a truck: Book a trip. Kila prices each one from the rates.
- Take the payment, or put it on the account. Walk-in senders pay when they book; account customers are billed on their account. A booking still marked To bill has Bill.
- Answer “where is my parcel?”. Type the tracking number in the box at the top and tap the search button: the parcel opens with its stage, such as Booked · Mombasa depot, where it is going and the public tracking page to share. See Let customers track a parcel.
What you can do

- Take payment for a booking and bill one with Bill.
- Print a booking’s waybill and labels again, send the receiver the delivery code again, and hold a parcel for collection.
- Find any booking of your depot by its number, and add and change customers.

Needs a manager
- A price other than the rate card’s. “From the rate card. Changing it needs the price override permission.”
- Sending a booking out or cancelling it. The dispatcher dispatches; a manager cancels.
Common questions
Link to this section: Common questionsA walk-in wants cash on delivery collected for them. Cash on delivery is collected for an account customer, the merchant: “Choose the merchant’s account above.” The merchant needs an account first.
The receiver did not get the SMS with the code. SMS is in test mode. Read the code to the receiver or the sender: the parcel’s page shows it, with Send again.
Why can I not see the Scan tab? Scanning parcels in and out is the hub clerk’s job. You book, take the money and answer customers.
