Your role
Pharmacist
Your day as the pharmacist on duty, from signing on to signing off. You approve what the tills ask for, dispense with the patient's record and keep the controlled drugs right.
Steps differ for clinics and health services.
Kila describes the role: “Approves prescription and pharmacy-only medicines, sells, keeps patients’ medication records and the controlled-drug register. Needs a PPB registration number.” At a branch, the tills sell what needs a pharmacist only while one is on duty there, and only with a pharmacist’s approval.
When you sign in
Link to this section: When you sign inKila opens your home page. Prescriptions today and the pharmacist on duty says how many prescriptions were dispensed today and who is on duty at your branch. Approvals, at the top of the menu, holds what the tills are waiting for, and the Pharmacy section has the rest of your work.
For clinics and health services
At a clinic Kila opens Clinic › Dispensing for you. See Dispense a prescription.

Common questions
Link to this section: Common questionsCan I approve from home? Yes, from Approvals on your phone, but it counts only while you are on duty at that branch. Otherwise the till asks for the pharmacist on duty: Approve medicines for the till.
Why can I not sign on duty? Kila needs your PPB registration number recorded on you under Users. Ask the owner: Sign on duty.
Do Kila’s clinical alerts replace my judgement? No. They come from a starter list for you to review, and going on after an alert asks for your reason, kept with the prescription: Dispense a prescription.
