Step by step
Print a customer statement
Print every charge and payment on a customer's account for the dates you choose, with the amount due, to hand over or send.
Steps differ for property managers.
A statement lists what a customer bought on account, what they paid and what they owe after each line. Print one when a customer asks what they owe, or before you call about a late account.
Open the customer
Find the customer under Customers › All customers and open them.
Tap Statement
The statement starts with the Opening balance on the first day. Then each charge and payment has a line, with the balance after it: a credit sale shows when it is due. Totals are at the foot, and the Closing balance is at the top.
Choose the dates
Set From and To. Kila starts with the last 90 days.
Tap Print statement
The statement opens in a window of its own, with your business name, address and KRA PIN at the top, and Kila asks your computer to print it.
Check the amount due, then print
At the foot of the printout: Amount due, with how much of it is overdue, the deposits the customer has on their account and how to pay: “Pay by M-Pesa or bank transfer quoting C-00001.” The customer’s own number goes in that line.
Good to know
Kila prints the statement. It does not email or text it from this page: hand the printout to the customer, or send it yourself.

- Find a customer and see their history: every purchase, not only those on account.
- Follow up an overdue account: call, take a promise to pay.
- Record a payment on account: when the customer pays.
- Bill account customers: at a logistics business, billing when delivered or once a month.
Next: if part of it is overdue, follow up the account.
