Your business

Electronics, mobile & appliances

A phone and electronics shop runs as a shop in Kila, with each phone, TV or fridge kept by its IMEI or serial number from delivery to sale, its warranty date, and credit through hire purchase.

An electronics shop sells phones, laptops, TVs and household appliances, many of them on credit and with a warranty. Kila runs it as a shop, with no extra rules: the till is the main screen.

Nothing is added or taken away for this kind of business. These are the parts of the shop it leans on, as Tech Hub Electronics uses them:

  • Every unit by its IMEI or serial number. Inventory › Batches and serials (1) knows where every serialised unit has been, “from receipt to sale”. Look up a serial number (2) finds a phone by its IMEI (3). See Track batches and serial numbers.
  • The warranty with the unit. A unit shows Warranty until (4) and its History (5), “Every movement of this unit, oldest first”, such as a warranty replacement, and Open the sale goes to the sale it left on. See Supplier returns and warranty.
  • Credit for the bigger items. TVs and fridges on hire purchase, goods put aside on layaway, and Partner BNPL where a finance partner pays.
  • Repairs are a different business. A shop that repairs phones and appliances for its customers is Electronics & appliance repair, with job cards.
