Step by step
Clock in and out
Clock in when you start work and out when you leave, signed in as yourself on your phone or an approved till, and see your days and hours this month.
Clock in when you start work and clock out when you leave. Kila counts your days and hours from it, and tells late from on time by the hours you are due. You clock in signed in as yourself, never by picking a name on someone else’s screen.
Open My time
Go to My time. Under your name and staff number, such as Brian Kipkemboi · SFF-005, Kila shows Not clocked in, the hours you are due, such as Due 06:30 to 15:30, and where you are clocking in from: On this phone or computer.
Tap Clock in
Kila says Clocked in at 06:24. Have a good day., with the time you tapped. The page now says In since 06:24.
Tap Clock out when you leave
Kila says Clocked out at 15:34. Clock out every time you leave, also for a long break away from work, and clock in again when you are back.
Check your month
This month shows your Days worked, Hours, Days late and days Absent, and how today stands, such as Today: Present. Below it are your leave and any advances you owe.
You forgot to clock in or out
Link to this section: You forgot to clock in or outTap I forgot to clock in or out. Kila says “Typed-in attendance is checked by someone else before it counts, unless the business has chosen otherwise.” Fill in the Date, the time you came In, the time you went Out if you know it, and Why it is typed in, then tap Save. Until someone approves it, the day shows as waiting for approval.
There is no Clock in button
Link to this section: There is no Clock in buttonYour business has people clock in only at its approved tills, and the page says so. Clock in at one of those tills, signed in as yourself.
Your clock-in waits for a manager
Link to this section: Your clock-in waits for a managerSome businesses have a manager approve each clock-in made from a phone. The page then says your clock-in is waiting for approval: it counts once a manager approves it.
Needs a manager
Everyone’s day is on the Attendance tab of Staff: who is In now, who Came in, who is Late or Absent and who is On leave. When someone is due, and whether people may clock in on their phone, is set by the owner: see Set working hours.
- Ask for leave: days off, from the same page.
- See your payslips: what you were paid each month.
- Close a shift: for cashiers, a till shift can count as attendance.
Next: plan time off in Ask for leave.
