Step by step
Bill account customers
Kila bills an account customer's bookings when they are delivered, or on one invoice a month, as your business chooses. Anyone else pays at the desk with Bill.
Steps differ for vehicle and equipment hire businesses.
Businesses that send with you every week, such as online shops and importers, are account customers: you bill them, and they pay later. Kila bills each of their bookings when it is delivered, or puts the month’s bookings on one invoice each, as your business has chosen. A booking nobody has paid for yet says To bill on its card.
How your business bills
Link to this section: How your business billsThe owner chooses it once, in Sell › Bookings and dispatch, Settings, under Bill a booking:
- When delivered (account customers): each delivery is billed to the account as it is delivered.
- Monthly: one invoice per account customer: delivered bookings wait, and you invoice them together.
- When booked: the booking is billed as soon as it is made.
- By hand from the desk: nothing is billed until someone taps Bill.
Account customers says how far the account goes: On account, within their credit limit, Always on account, or Never on account: they pay. Swift Haul Logistics bills its accounts monthly, within their credit limits.
Open Performance

Check who is waiting
Account customers to invoice lists them: “Delivered bookings go on one invoice per customer for the period.” Each line has the customer, how many bookings, and the total.
Tap Invoice to
The button carries the day, such as Invoice to 30 Oct 2026. Kila raises one invoice for each customer, on their account:

Nothing waiting to be invoiced
Link to this section: Nothing waiting to be invoicedEvery delivered booking of an account customer is already billed, up to the To day. Bookings still on their way wait until they are delivered.
Needs a manager
Invoicing needs the right to manage deliveries and the right to make sales: the owner, the general manager and branch managers have both. The invoices go on each customer’s account, where the credit controller follows them up.
- Book a parcel: choose the sender’s account when booking.
- Send a chauffeur on a transfer: a trip billed as it is delivered.
Next: follow the invoices up with each customer’s statement.
