Your role
Driver
Your day driving a distributor's truck, delivering each stop on your phone with the shop's signature and GRN, taking the money, and handing in at the depot.
As a driver you take a truck’s trip out and deliver it, stop by stop, on your phone. Kila describes the role as: “Drives a truck’s trip: delivers each stop by line (short or refused with a reason), takes the money on delivery, brings back returns and empties, and hands in at settlement. No prices or credit limits.” At Mombasa Road Distributors, Tom Wekesa drives the Isuzu KDK 412M.

What needs a manager
Link to this section: What needs a managerNo approval limits: anything that needs approval goes to someone else.
Needs a manager
- Your trip’s money. You never settle your own money: the cash office counts it. A difference beyond what the business accepts (KES 200 at Mombasa Road) waits for a manager.
- A refused or undelivered order. “The goods stay on the truck and come back to the depot. The office decides what happens to the order.”

The shop took less than the order. What do I do? Type what it took on the line and choose why: the rest stays on the truck and is counted back in at the depot.
My run is empty. Why? Your stops come with your route’s trip, once the dispatcher has planned it. See Send a route’s run out.
