Warehouse adds the inside of a branch to Stock: where each unit sits. You lay out zones and bins, put received goods away in bins that suit them, hold goods back until they are inspected, and pick, pack and dispatch orders and transfers from the bins. Moving goods from one bin to another never changes what the branch holds or what it is worth.

Can be added by Food & drink service, Stay, Appointments, Fitness & memberships, Jobs & repair, Professional services, Health care, Education and General.

A distributor, a wholesaler or a shop with a store room, wherever finding stock fast matters.

Where to find it

Under Stock › Warehouse:

Bins, titled Warehouse bins: “Zones, aisles, racks and shelves, with what each bin holds, how full it is and the conditions it keeps.”
Putaway, titled Putaway and inspection: “Received goods wait in the receiving or quarantine bay.” Kila suggests bins whose storage conditions suit the product and that have room.
Picking: “Pick lists for transfers and orders, sorted by bin so pickers walk the shortest route. Pick, pack, then dispatch.”

Bins can be set up at any branch. Who can work there follows each person’s role and the branches it covers.

Switch it on

Needs Stock switched on first.
On from the start for Shop, Wholesale & distribution, Production and Logistics & field.
Other businesses: the owner switches it on under Administration › Business profile, when the plan has it.

Shops, wholesalers, producers and logistics businesses have it as soon as their plan does; for the others it is optional, under Administration › Business profile. See Switch a module on.
