Fixing a problem
Above your approval limit.
The amount is more than your role may approve on its own, so the request waits for someone whose limit covers it, such as the owner. If it happens often, the owner can raise your role's limit.
What it means
Link to this section: What it meansEach role has approval limits: the most a holder may approve on their own, such as refunds or credit up to an amount. This request is for more than your limit for its kind, so it has no Approve or Reject for you. Here, KES 2,000 on account for a customer on hold is above a till supervisor’s limit for credit of KES 1,000.
What to do
Link to this section: What to do- Leave it: someone whose limit covers the amount decides it, such as the owner or a manager with a higher limit.
- If requests like this often go above your limit, ask the owner to raise your role’s limit.
- Once your limit covers the amount, the request has Approve and Reject for you.
Needs a manager
The owner opens the role under Administration › Users and roles, on Roles and permissions. Under Approval limits, “The most a holder can approve on their own. Above it, a more senior approver decides.”, they change the limit, such as Credit agreements up to, and tap Save changes.
