Restaurant or cafe
A restaurant or cafe works from the table plan, sends each round to the kitchen and bar, holds courses until they are fired and keeps a reservation book.
A restaurant or cafe seats customers at tables, takes their order in rounds and sends each item to the kitchen or the bar that makes it. Kila treats it as a restaurant, with the food safety rules that come with serving food.
What is special
Link to this section: What is special- Tables first. The till opens on the table plan, and waiters take orders on their phones in Kila Floor: Seat guests at a table.
- Courses. Mains and desserts can wait at the kitchen until the waiter fires them: Hold and fire courses.
- Bookings and the waitlist. The host stand keeps tonight’s bookings, deposits and the walk-ins waiting for a table: Take a booking and run the waitlist.
- The kitchen display shows each station its tickets: Work the kitchen display.
At Jikoni Grill and Cafe, a restaurant with a bar, all of these are in use.
