Fixing a problem
Short by KES …
The cash you counted is less than Kila expects in the drawer. Count again; if the figure stands, add a note and send it for review.
What it means
Link to this section: What it meansWhen you close a shift, Kila compares your count with the cash it expects: the float, plus cash taken, less cash paid out. Your count is less. A count that is more says Over by instead, with the same next step.
What to do
Link to this section: What to do- Read the difference and the figures under it.
- Tap Recount.
- Count every note and coin in the drawer again, and type how many of each.
- Tick I counted KES … in the drawer myself. and tap Submit count of KES ….
- If the figure stands, write what you know in Note for the reviewer and tap Send for review.
When the difference is within your business’s tolerance, the button is Close shift instead and the shift closes.
Needs a manager
A shift sent for review waits for someone other than the cashier, such as a branch manager. They accept the difference or dispute it in Sales › Shifts. See Review a shift.
If it keeps happening
