A customer reserves goods and pays in parts; the goods stay in the branch until the last payment, with no interest and nothing lent.
Steps differ for General businesses.
Layaway lets a customer reserve goods and pay for them in parts. The goods stay in the branch until the last payment, then go home with the customer. Nothing is lent: the business holds the customer’s money as a deposit, with no interest and no fee.
