Step by step
Suspend a sale and resume it
Tap Suspend to park the cart while the customer fetches something, serve the next customer, then resume it from Suspended and charge it.
A customer has forgotten something, or gone for cash. Park their sale instead of making the queue wait: nothing is paid or taken from stock until you resume it and charge it.
Tap Suspend under Charge
Kila gives the sale a number and empties the cart: S-000180 suspended, “KES 1,415.00 parked. Resume it from Suspended.”
Serve the next customer
The till works as usual while the sale is parked.
Tap Suspended at the top of the till
On a phone it is in the menu under your name, as Suspended sales. The list has every sale parked at your branch, from any till: its number, the customer or Walk-in, what is in it, the till, who parked it and when.
Tap Resume
The sale comes back into the cart and the cart says Resumed S-000180. Kila says “Prices are checked again before payment.”
Charge it as usual
The sale keeps its number: Sale S-000180 complete.
Nobody comes back for it

Tap Discard. Kila says S-000182 discarded.
Suspend is grey

Tip
If the customer already paid part of the sale, Kila asks what happens to that money before it parks the sale: “Finish the payment, or keep the money as credit or give it back before you suspend the sale.” See Take more than one payment on a sale.

- Make a quotation: when the customer wants prices to take away, not to pay today.
