Your role
Operator
You work on a line. On the line screen you count what is made, record scrap with its reason, and stop the clock when the line stops.
Kila describes the operator as working “on the line: records output, scrap and downtime on the shift log, in-process checks and their checklists. No costs.” Everything you record goes on the shift log and on the run.
When you sign in
Link to this section: When you sign inKila opens the Line screen, made for a phone. The first time on a device it asks Which line is this? Tap your line: “The screen remembers it on this device.” Change line takes you back to the list.
The line’s screen shows the run on it, such as Mala 500ml pouch, with how many are made of the planned quantity and how many this shift.
Your day
Link to this section: Your day- Count what is made. Tap a quick count, such as +1 crate (20), as each crate is filled, or Made… to type a number on the keypad and tap Record. The run’s count goes up.
- Record scrap. Tap Scrap, type how many, tap the reason, such as Damaged packaging, and tap Record. The shift’s scrap shows on the run.
- When the line stops. Tap Line stopped and the reason: “Why? The clock runs until you tap Running again. A breakdown calls maintenance.” The screen shows how long it has been Stopped and why. When the line runs again, tap Running again.
This shift on the line lists what you recorded: what was made, scrapped and stopped, with who recorded it.
