Your role
Maintenance technician
You keep the machines running. Work through your jobs on a phone, breakdowns first, and close each one with the time the machine was down and the spares used.
Kila describes the maintenance technician’s work as “machines and their maintenance: plans, work orders, spares used and downtime. No stock or costs beyond spares.”
When you sign in
Link to this section: When you sign inKila opens Machines and maintenance on My jobs: “Preventive maintenance by machine, work orders when due or after a breakdown, spares used and downtime.” Breakdowns come first, then the maintenance that is due. Each job shows the machine, what is wrong or the task with its checklist, and Start and Done.
Your day
Link to this section: Your day- Take the next job. Tap Start on it: the job shows Started with the day and your name.
- Report a breakdown you find. Tap Report a breakdown, choose the Machine, say What is wrong and tap Raise a work order. Kila says Work order raised, and the job is on your list. On the line screen, a stop for a breakdown “calls maintenance”.
- Close the job. Tap Done: “Spares used leave stock; downtime goes on the shift log.” Type how long the Machine down for in minutes, add each spare with Add a spare: name or SKU, write a Note, and tap Mark done. Kila says Work order done.
The other tabs hold all the Work orders, the maintenance Plans for each machine, and the Machines and downtime.

Where does the downtime go? On the shift log, against the machine, so the plant manager sees the time lost.
I used a spare. Add it under Spares used when you mark the job done: it leaves stock.
