Courier & delivery
Parcels with tracking numbers from the counter to the door, through your depots, with riders' runs, proof of delivery and cash on delivery for merchants.
A courier takes parcels at the counter or from merchants, moves them through its depots and delivers them to the door. Kila gives each parcel a tracking number and follows it at every handover until it is delivered, with proof.
What is special
Link to this section: What is specialSwift Haul Logistics, the demo courier, works this way between Mombasa and Nairobi:
- Parcels, not just bookings. New parcel takes the sender, the receiver from the address book, each piece with its weight and size, the service level and any cash on delivery, and prices it from your rate cards. The waybill and a label for each piece print with the tracking number. See Book a parcel.
- An Operations menu with Scan parcels, Manifests, Runs and run sheets, Cash on delivery, Exceptions and claims and Performance. See Hub clerk and Dispatcher.
- Cash on delivery for merchants. Riders collect it at the door; the COD cashier counts it in and prepares what is owed to each merchant, less the fees they owe. See COD cashier.
- A public tracking page for every parcel: Let customers track a parcel.
