Your role
COD cashier
You count the riders' cash on delivery in after each run, and prepare what is owed to each merchant for a second person to approve. No rates or settings.
Cash on delivery is the merchant’s money: the rider collects it at the door, and the business holds it for the merchant until it is paid over. As COD cashier you count it in from the riders and prepare each merchant’s remittance. At Swift Haul Logistics, Halima Abdalla does this at the Mombasa depot.

What needs a manager

Needs a manager
Every remittance needs a second person: “A second person approves it.” Someone with the approvals permission who sees Cash on delivery, such as the general manager or a branch manager, approves it before it is paid.
Common questions
Link to this section: Common questionsThe count does not match. Count again with the rider. If the figure stands, record it: the difference goes to cash over and short, as the screen says.
A remittance was prepared too early. Open it and tap Cancel: “COD-000041 cancelled; the parcels wait for the next remittance.”
Why is a merchant paid less than they collected? The delivery fees they owe on account are taken off first, and the remittance says how much.
