Step by step
Make a quotation
Switch the till to Quotation, choose the customer, add the products and save it. The prices hold until its date, and you convert it at the till when the customer is ready.
A quotation tells a customer what they would pay, and holds those prices until a date. Nothing is charged and nothing leaves stock. When they say yes, it becomes a sale at the till, at the quoted prices.
Tap Quotation at the top of the till
Kila says “Quotation mode. Nothing is charged or taken from stock; the quotation holds the prices until its validity date.”
Choose the customer
Tap Choose the customer for this quotation and find them. A customer with prices of their own, such as Prices Institutions, gets them on the quotation.
Add the products
Search, scan or tap as for a sale, and set the quantities.
Tap Save quotation
Kila asks how long the prices hold: Valid until starts 14 days ahead at Soko Fresh. Add a Note on the quotation if it helps, such as delivery terms or a contact person. “Prices are held on the quotation. Stock is not reserved until it becomes a sale.”
Tap Save quotation again, then print or send it
Kila says Quotation QT-000001 saved: “Valid until … Convert it from Quotations when the customer is ready.” Tap Print quotation or Send quotation to give it to the customer.
When the customer says yes
Link to this section: When the customer says yes- Open Sales › Quotations. Under Open, each quotation shows the customer, who prepared it and its Valid until date.
- Tap Convert (7). The till opens with the quotation in the cart: “Quotation QT-000001 loaded”, and the cart says Converting quotation QT-000001.
- Charge it as usual. The payment says Charge for QT-000001, and the quotation moves to Converted, with the sale‘s number.
Tip
Order, beside Convert, turns the quotation into an order instead: the stock is reserved and the customer pays a deposit now and the rest when they collect. See Take an order.
The customer needs more time
Link to this section: The customer needs more timeOn Sales › Quotations, tap Extend and choose a new Valid until date: “Prices stay as quoted until this date.”
The customer says no
Link to this section: The customer says noTap Expire. Kila asks first: “The customer can no longer convert it at the quoted prices.” An expired quotation can still be extended.
- Take an order: when the customer wants the goods kept for them.
- Add a customer to a sale: the same search.
- Print or send a receipt: sending works the same for a quotation.
Next: follow up before the date: Expiring in 3 days on Sales › Quotations counts the ones running out.
