Warehousing

Keep clients' goods in your warehouse and bill them for what they hold each day, with handling in and out, on their account.

A warehousing business keeps goods for its clients: pallets, bins or floor space, billed by the day, with a charge for handling them in and out. Kila keeps a storage agreement for each client and bills what they hold.

A warehousing business has storage for clients switched on, and its Operations menu starts with Storage for clients, then Runs and run sheets, Exceptions and claims and Performance. A set-up step, Client storage agreements and rates, follows your rates.

None of the demo businesses is set up as a warehousing business, but Swift Haul Logistics keeps clients’ pallets at its Changamwe warehouse with the same Storage tab in Sell › Bookings and dispatch: “Each client is billed for the goods held at the end of each day, plus handling in and out, from the day after the last bill. Bills go on the client’s account”. Each client’s agreement shows its Rate, such as KES 65 per pallet a day, what is Held now, what is Not yet billed and the day it is Billed to.

  • New client agreement takes the Client, the Warehouse, what it is Charged per, the Rate a day, the Handling in, each, the Handling out, each and a Monthly minimum.
  • Tapping an agreement records goods Received for the client or Dispatched for the client.
  • Bill storage bills the clients up to the day in Bill up to.
