When you take a job in, Kila prints the customer’s collection ticket. It says what you took in, in what condition, what needs doing and what it should cost, and it carries the code the customer gives to collect. You can print it again at any time.

  1. Print it when you take the job in

Leave Print the collection ticket ticked in Take a job in. The ticket opens to print as soon as you tap Take in. See Take a job in.

  2. Or print it again from the board

On the Job board, tap … on the job, then Print the collection ticket. The ticket opens in a new window, ready to print.

  3. Show the customer the codes

At the top, a QR code the customer scans to follow the job, and under Collection ticket and the job number, the barcode the till scans at collection.

A collection ticket at FixPoint Repairs: the QR code (3), the barcode, the release code box (4), the customer, when it was taken in, the work, the TV's details, its condition, the promised time, and the estimate and what is to pay at collection (5), with the business's note at the bottom.A collection ticket at FixPoint Repairs: the QR code (3), the barcode, the release code box (4), the customer, when it was taken in, the work, the TV's details, its condition, the promised time, and the estimate and what is to pay at collection (5), with the business's note at the bottom.
  4. Point out the release code

Release code: “Give this code when you collect. Keep it to yourself.” Whoever collects must give it at the till.

  5. Check what it will cost

At the bottom, the Estimate and what is To pay at collection, after any deposit already paid, and your business’s note, such as “Bring this ticket when you collect.”

The QR code opens a page on the customer’s phone, with no sign-in: “Scan the code to follow your job”. It shows where the job is Now, in plain words, its progress from Received through Working and Ready to Collected, when it is Expected ready, and a button to call you. It never shows their phone number, your notes or the technician.

The tracking page on the customer's phone: a Skyworth TV, Now Received, We have it and will look at it soon, the progress bar (6), Expected ready with the promised time (7), and Call FixPoint Repairs. The tracking page on the customer's phone: a Skyworth TV, Now Received, We have it and will look at it soon, the progress bar (6), Expected ready with the promised time (7), and Call FixPoint Repairs.

Tip

For a technician who works without a phone, print the job card’s workshop copy instead: Print the workshop copy on the job card or in the job’s menu. It lists the work agreed with space to tick each line, write findings and times.

Find the job on the Front counter by their phone, IMEI or name, and print the ticket again. At collection a manager can hand it over without the code: see Hand a job over and take payment.

Your business does not use release codes. Then the ticket shows no code and nobody is asked for one at collection.
