Fixing a problem
… is frozen at … while stock count … is in progress
A stock count with movements frozen covers this product at your branch, so it cannot be sold, moved or adjusted until the count is posted or cancelled. Sell the rest, and finish the count.
What it means
Link to this section: What it meansWhoever started a stock count chose to freeze movements while counting. Until that count is posted or cancelled, the products on it cannot be sold, transferred, received or adjusted at that branch, so the count stays exact. The till says so when you complete the sale.
What to do
Link to this section: What to doAt the till:
- Take the payment line off and tap Back to cart.
- Remove the frozen product from the cart and sell the rest.
- Tell the person running the count. Once it is posted or cancelled, the product sells again.
Needs a manager
The count’s page under Inventory › Stock counts says what is frozen: “Movements frozen”. Finish it with Finish counting, or cancel it. See Count stock.
If it keeps happening
Link to this section: If it keeps happeningCount while the branch is closed, or leave Freeze movements while counting off when you start a count during trading: sales during the count are then accounted for line by line.
- Count stock: full and cycle counts, blind or not.
- Count the stock before the tills open: the opening count.
