Step by step
Let customers track a parcel
Every parcel has a public tracking page. Customers open it from the waybill or the link you send, with no sign-in, and see where the parcel is.
“Where is my parcel?” is the question a courier hears most. Each parcel has its own page on the web, at your business’s
address followed by /track/ and the tracking number, which anyone with the number can open on a phone without signing
in. It shows where the parcel is, and nothing private.
Find the parcel's link
Open the parcel: type its number in the Tracking number box at the top of Sell › Bookings and dispatch and tap the search button. Its page has the link Public tracking page. The same link is printed on the waybill, under “Track this parcel at”.
The customer opens it
Give the customer the link or the tracking number. The page says where the parcel is now, such as Out for delivery, with the rider’s first name (“With Juma today.”), when it is expected and the towns it goes between: Nyali → Old Town · 1 piece.
The steps so far
Below, the page lists each step with its time and depot, newest first, such as Booked and Out for delivery.
Good to know
The page shows towns and stages only. It never shows the receiver’s name, phone or address, photos, signatures or the delivery code. Anyone can type a tracking number into Tracking number on the page and tap Track.
Not available yet
The New parcel form says: “The sender and receiver get the tracking number and status messages by SMS and email. SMS is in test mode: messages are logged but not delivered until an SMS provider is connected; email is sent.” Until SMS is connected, give customers the waybill, or read them the tracking number.
That is not a valid tracking number
Link to this section: That is not a valid tracking numberThe number was mistyped: its last digit checks the others. Copy it again from the waybill, the label or the message.
- Book a parcel: the tracking number is given when the parcel is booked.
- Dispatch a booking: the parcel goes out for delivery.
Next: when the parcel is delivered, the page says so, with the receiver’s initial and the time.
