Step by step
Add what your business does
On Business profile, switch on a group such as Appointments and bookings or Online shop, and Kila switches on every module it needs in one step. Switch it off again any time: nothing is deleted.
A General business starts with the till, stock, buying, customers, credit and the books. When it also takes bookings, repairs things, delivers or sells online, the owner adds that work in one step: each group switches on every module it needs.
Before you start
Link to this section: Before you start- You are the owner. Others who manage settings can see the groups but not switch them.
- Your plan has what the group needs. General lists the plans that have each group.
Open Business profile
In the Hubs menu a General business starts with, it is under Settings; in the classic menu, under Administration. The set-up list opens it too: step 2, What your business does: add appointments, jobs, deliveries or an online shop, then Open.
Find What your business does
It is the card under your profile: “Add what you need in one step. Each group switches its modules on; switch it off again any time. Nothing is deleted.” Each group says what it is for and lists the modules it switches on, such as Appointments, Service packages.
Tap the switch of the group you need
For example Appointments and bookings. Kila says Switched on: “Appointments and bookings switched on: Appointments, Service packages.” Step 2 of the set-up list ticks itself off.
Find the new pages
The menu now has the group’s pages. Appointments and bookings adds Diary, Calendar, Appointments and Packages under Services.
Add more groups the same way
For an online shop, tap Online shop: “Online shop switched on: Online store, Delivery.” Sell gains Online store and Deliveries, and Settings gains Online store settings. The shop starts closed: Online store says “The shop is closed to customers” until you open it in its settings. See Online store.
To switch a group off, tap its switch again. Kila says Switched off and names what it switched off, such as “Appointments and bookings switched off: Appointments, Service packages.” Nothing is deleted.
A group says Not in your plan
Link to this section: A group says Not in your planIts switch stays grey: your plan does not have the modules it names. On Starter every group says so, because each needs a module Starter does not have. Starter does have Appointments and Insights: switch them on one at a time under Modules, further down the page. To change your plan, ask Kila at support@kilabiashara.co.ke. See Your plan and billing.
Deliveries came on with Online shop
Link to this section: Deliveries came on with Online shopOnline shop needs Delivery, the one module of the Deliveries group, so Deliveries shows as on too. Switching Online shop off leaves Delivery on: “Online shop switched off: Online store.” If you do not deliver, switch Deliveries off as well: “Deliveries switched off: Delivery.”
Your business needs none of them
Link to this section: Your business needs none of themUntil you first choose, the card has This is all I need at the top. Tap it: “Saved. Add more any time from Business profile.” Step 2 of the set-up list ticks itself off, and the groups stay there for later.
Needs a manager
Only an owner switches groups on and off. Anyone else who opens Business profile sees “Only an owner can change the business profile. You can see it here.”
- General: how Kila works for a General business, and which plans have each group.
- Move to a closer kind of business: when most of your work has become one kind.
- Your business profile: the modules, rules, words and menu layout.
- Switch on more features and change your plan: one module at a time, under Modules.
Next: set up what the group added: see Appointments for bookings, or Online store for an online shop.
