Step by step
Pay the landlord
Each property's statement shows the rent billed and collected, the management fee, the property's expenses and what was paid out. Pay the landlord what is due, in full or in part.
The rent a property manager collects belongs to the landlord, less the firm’s management fee and what the property cost. Kila keeps the landlord’s statement as rent comes in and costs are approved, so the payout is a matter of checking it and paying what is due.
Open the landlord's statement
On Practice › Property desk, tap Landlord statements and choose the property. The period starts on the 1st of the month and ends today; change the dates for another period.
Read the statement
The landlord and the property, the period, and what happened in it: Billed, Collected, Fee (10%) at Jirani Property Managers, Expenses and Paid out. Below them, Due to the landlord now. Print prints the landlord statement for the period.
Tap Pay from the property
It opens the property’s Units and rent tab, where the Statement for the landlord says “Rent collected less the 10% management fee and the property’s expenses.” and has Pay KES … with what is due.
Enter the amount and how it is paid
Tap Pay. Pay the landlord fills in the Amount due; type less to pay part of it. Choose Paid by: Bank transfer, M-Pesa or Cheque, and type the Reference from the bank or M-Pesa.

Needs a manager
Landlord payouts are made by property managers and the owner.
- Handle a maintenance request: costs that come off the payout.
- Follow up rent and arrears: the rent collected.
- Property manager: a property manager’s month.
Next: back to the month’s rent: Follow up rent and arrears.
