Gym & fitness

A gym runs on Kila's front desk for members, with memberships that bill themselves, passes and packs, classes, personal training and a shop till.

A gym or fitness centre, from an estate gym to a club with several branches. Kila runs it as a gym: members check in at the front desk, and their memberships, passes and classes are the heart of the day.

  • The front desk checks every member in. By card or QR code, member number or phone, Kila lets them in or says why not: a suspended membership with what is owed, a freeze, no signed waiver. See Check a member in.
  • Memberships bill themselves. Plans raise their invoice every period, remind the member and stop entry when a bill stays unpaid. Members freeze when they travel and give notice to leave.
  • Classes and personal training. A weekly timetable with places and a waitlist, attendance by the trainer, and personal training booked in the trainers’ diary and paid from packages, with the trainer’s commission.
  • The waiver and the health questionnaire are signed on the screen and kept with their version.
  • Retention. Gym › Retention shows who has not been seen lately, the renewals that failed and the churn.

Kasarani Fit Club, the demo gym, has two branches, a shop and smoothie bar till, lockers and a turnstile on Kila’s test device.

The main screen is Member check-in and classes.

Rules it follows:

Kila’s standard roles, plus these for a gym:

  • Front desk: Checks members in, signs them up with the waiver, sells passes and packs, takes renewals and books classes. Refunds and freezes beyond the plan go to approval.
  • Trainer: Takes classes and personal training: their own diary and classes, attendance, assessments and the health questionnaire of the members they train.
  • Gym manager: Runs the gym: plans and prices, the timetable, trainer, freezes and refunds, doors and lockers, and the reports.
  • Membership consultant: Shows people round, signs up new members and sells memberships, passes and packs. No refunds or check-in rules.

What each one does, day by day: Front desk, Trainer, Gym manager and Membership consultant.
